Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is the day before Christmas Day, a widely celebrated holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. It is a culturally significant celebration for most of the Western world. In Western culture, Christmas Eve is celebrated on December 24.

On the 24th of December the candle-lighted rallies of the Christmas tree shine in many families. The Christmas tree has spread in the 19th century from Germany over the whole world. Jesus has agreed from the three Magi Balthasar, Kaspar and Melchor Geschenke, because they knew that he was the son of God.

Christmas in Germany:

In the evening food is served. Then the whole family has dinner. The Christians have no regulations for what they can eat on Christmas Eve. The feast is different for every family. Afterwards Christmas carols are sung, and everyone gets her or his gifts.
